To wash or not to wash?

Healthy hair always starts with a healthy scalp!

There’s so much advice online that washing your hair less often is better but I believe nothing is one size fits all. I wash my hair twice a week (every 3ish days) because that’s what works best for me. By day three I’m usually oily and sometimes irritated so washing before it becomes uncomfortable keeps everything balanced.

Feeling irritated? Your scalp is asking for a reset!

If your scalp feels itchy, flaky or overly oily more often than not, it’s usually a sign something needs adjusting. Which may be how often you’re washing or the products you’re using. Especially as seasons change, you may also need to consider changing your haircare routine. A healthy scalp supports stronger growth, better shine and longer lasting colour!

1st Cleanse: Redken Scalp Relief Shampoo
Combats dandruff, irritation, dry scalp

2nd Cleanse: Redken Extreme Length Shampoo
Promotes strength and hair growth

To moisturise, soften and smooth my frizz

Dry shampoo, let me explain!

My hot tip: before bed, spray a little dry shampoo into your roots to absorb oil before you wake up with that “omg I need to wash my hair” feeling.

Dry shampoo is your friend… but it’s not your bestie, so don’t overdo it. Using too much product too often can lead to buildup, which may block the hair follicles and impact your scalp health and future growth over time.

So… to wash or not to wash? Ask your scalp! Or me!
